We’re looking forward to the upcoming Allen Texas Stake Youth Conference at Camp Thunder Ridge near Muskogee, Oklahoma. (formerly known as Camp Takatoka)
The Youth Conference theme this year is “Journey with Christ: A Book of Mormon Experience”. All youth turning 14+ in 2026 are invited to attend!
The cost of camp will be $150 per person, youth are encouraged to find ways to earn this money. Payments are due by May 1st. Payment can be submitted via a donation slip to a member of the bishopric, or online under the “Local Youth Camp” option.
Youth need 2-3 knee length Book of Mormon style tunics that they will wear throughout their time at camp. If you google “Book of Mormon Quest tunics” you’ll find many ideas to create these costumes out of simple materials. There is also a link above to a pattern to make your own tunic.
The youth will meet up and start the drive to the camp in the early morning of Wednesday May 27, and will return home in the later afternoon of Saturday May 30.
There will be a mixture of fun outdoor activities, Book of Mormon reenactments, spiritual experiences, and quality social time with other youth of your faith.
Ima and Aba assignments will be shared when the youth arrive at camp.
